Dorothea Divine – High Tech Senior
Dorothea Divine has lived at Brookside Village for over three years. She was raised as a farm girl in Loogootee and worked at Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center in southwestern Indiana for many years. She started on ordinances and worked in procurement as a contracting officer supervisor when she retired. She has served as Brookside’s resident council president for over three years and has received the “Kenneth Tally award” the last two years at the annual Area Wide Resident council meeting. Dorothea has two daughters, Nancy and LeAnne. She is well known for her technical expertise and can often be found exploring the Internet on her tablet. She is now learning to use her newly installed television recorder. From sock hats to afghans, Dorothea is a wonderful crochet artist and has provided her work for fundraising to the Cancer Relay for Life. Dorothea researched several facilities before choosing Brookside Village, noting how wonderful the facility smelled. She is very social, enjoying the many events in and outside the community, especially bingo. Dorothea really appreciates the cheerful and helpful staff at Brookside Village.
